A few things today.

First up we've the end of volume two of Kaiten. This chapter is fairly sketchy, as is the bonus, but thankfully it's the worst Kaiten's gotten thus far else I probably would've dropped it.

Yuzumori-san Ch. 33 [End]

And here we are. As I speculated last time, this is indeed the final chapter of Yuzumori-san.

Taken as a whole it's certainly been a fun ride, there were some questionable parts (looking at you Ririha), and I can't help but feel Ejima could've probably gotten a few more volumes worth of content out without too much trouble, but ultimately I find it a fitting end to what's been an enjoyable series. It's also been quite a unique series for me in that I've worked on it (mostly on time) from the very first chapter, which, while not a necessarily good way of doing things, certainly made for a different experience.

If you're not satisfied with the end or just still want more the fifth volume is listed as being slightly longer than usual at 144 pages (pre-order today, show your support etc.), though your guess is as good as mine as to whether or not it'll include anything meaningful. I also still have the fourth volume bonus to do, so I suppose that's one other bit you can look forward to at some point in the not too distant future.

Thanks as ever go to my editor, Nady, and to elemhunter, who ripped some of the earlier volumes for me. Will be interesting to see what Ejima does next, though I should probably get around to finishing off Orgia in the meantime...

Mahoujin Guru Guru Ch. 1 & Yuzumori-san 32

So here's something new. My editor really liked the recent anime of this, and as I'm always randomly picking up new, wordy junk figured I might as well do something he'd actually enjoy for once (I'd actually had another new wordy piece of junk to release alongside this but didn't feel well enough to QC it in time).

If you're not familiar with Mahoujin it's a cutesy, fairly old JRPG-style manga which is just a really fun, easy-going series. 10 chapters were previously TLed but the quality's somewhat dubious (not that I should throw stones while in my glass house), and I never like picking up from where others drop stuff anyway. For the TL I'll be cribbing town names and the like from the anime's sub, because I'm not particularly creative when it comes to puns, and I assume most will probably be familiar with those names now anyway.

And then we have what might well be the penultimate chapter of Yuzumori. While nothing official has strictly come through, the listing for volume five popped up on Amazon the other day and it included a mention that the series would be complete with volume five. Given the past few volumes have all had six chapters this would make 33, out this Sunday, the finale. Though I guess Ejima could always split it or something. We'll have to see.

Kentou Ankokuden Cestvs Ch. CVII & Yuzumori-san Ch. 29

Been working on Bond (fuck me the chapter's long) alongside something else entirely the last few days, but here's a couple of chapters anyway.

First up we've the bonus pages from the Somali tank. Each of these pages is meant to come at the end of a chapter in the tank (e.g. page 29 comes after chapter 20), but I'm far too lazy to go and re-upload all of the earlier chapters.

Iron Ghost no Shoujo Ch. 7 & Yuzumori-san Ch. 27.2

And as promised, here's something which isn't Cestvs (I would've had some Cestvs too but I'm working early tomorrow).

First up we've this month's Iron Ghost, which is hitting Cestvs length at only 16 pages. Presumably this was because of the first tank release, which was also out today (as expected there was no bonus content). Will have to see if next month's is any longer.

One thing the tank did clarify though, was that Mikamoto has given up on titling his chapters (that is, chapters one to three are simply called as such in the volume, not whatever they were before).

Eko Eko Azarak Ch. 28, Youkai Banchou Ch. 29 & Yuzumori-san Ch. 27.1

For fairly obvious reasons I won't be around for the next few days, so here's some early Azarak/Youkai alongside a certain other, long absent series.

Then we've Youkai. This release is a little patchwork, the colour pages at the start coming from the magazine version of the chapter (granted they're more or less the same quality). With Youkai ending on chapter 57 this release also means we've passed the halfway point, which is probably good news.

And then we've the first (part of a) chapter of Yuzumori in, well, quite a while. The chapter cuts off at a fairly awkward spot but that's simply how it was published, and it was enough of a rush getting these 12 pages done as is. I had actually been thinking of doing the six or so bonus pages from volume four instead of this, but figured people might consider it a bit of a dick move while we were still two chapters behind. Hopefully things will be quicker with 27.2/28, though experience would cast some doubt over that.

In completely unrelated news the fourth volume of the Survival remake has now been dated for a late February release. Curiously the synopsis mentions Satoru setting off from the island, encountering a soldier, and finding the ruins of Tokyo, which would make it quite a departure from how the original went, for better or worse...

Somali to Mori no Kami-sama Ch. Ch. 24, Survival: Shounen S no Kiroku Ch. 39 & Yuzumori-san Ch. 25

Alright, so here's a bunch of stuff which have been in the works for a while.

First up we've chapter 24 of Somali. I'd meant to get this done a month ago before chapter 25 was released, but honestly couldn't find the energy for it. 25 is only 22 pages though, so hopefully I'll be able to find a bit more motivation for it. Chapter 26 isn't out until late December either (I guess the author's gonna be working on the stuff for volume four), which should mean we're on top of things for at least a little while.

And then we've chapter 25 of Yuzumori. We're still a chapter behind for this as well, though with chapter 27 not being out until the 20th of November we should have a bit of breathing time here too. Alright so first up today we've the end of the second volume of Youkai, alongside what is perhaps the nicest (and least dubious) bonus chapter of the series.

And then we've a bunch of Yuzumori. On top of the two most recent chapters I also finally managed to finally get around to doing the bonus bits from the second and third volumes. As with the last one I did (oh so long ago) my ability to read written kanji is absolute crap, so YMMV even more than usual with what's being said. As a sort of final note, in volume three the early afterword is actually included about two chapters in and not at the end alongside the bonus chapter (hence its name), but including it all as 19.5 worked out easier than trying to replicate the volume order.

If you were curious about the magazine cover in 22 the only thing really worth mentioning is that Ririha's listed as the cover model, and that she has an article in it as well, the rest's just general fashion magazine stuff. With this though we're back up to date until 22 comes out on the 31st, well, barring the bonus stuff from the second volume.

While on the subject, my copy of the third volume arrived the other day and it's sort of weird. While Ejima merged the two parts of chapter 16 together, she kept 18 separate (so there's chapter 18 and chapter 18.5 in the volume). She also split up the bonus stuff and had a sort of early afterword about halfway through the volume alongside a little extra at the end which'll make things even nicer for me when I eventually get to it.

As something of a note the Yume Pochi mentioned in the chapter is likely a magazine, the name itself being derived from two female manga magazines: Hana to Yume and Petit Comic (which is Puchi in Japanese).
