In the oh so lengthy gap between my releases of this the first collected volume of the series has been dated, and will be due out on the 12th of December. Ejima mentioned on Twitter that she had to start work on it earlier than normal as she wants to redraw a bunch of pages. Supposedly we'll be looking at one to three chapters worth of stuff being redone, so about 15 to 45 pages in total.

While there are definitely some technical errors in the work (the most egregious perhaps being a page in which Yuzumori has two right hands) I'm not entirely convinced there's quite so much that needs to be changed. We'll see I guess.

I'll certainly pick up a copy of the volume when it's available. Ideally I'd like to redo everything from the volume (as I imagine Ejima will also include a number of extras in it as she did with Orgia and it gives me a chance to try and tidy up some of the TL stuff) but I can't promise anything. At the very least I'll note down if there are any major changes in it.

Now, as Ejima's working on the volume she's actually taken a week off. So insead of a two week gap between chapters, it's to be three weeks, and the chapter will be released on the 7th of November.

If you're one of the five people who played Umbrella Corps then Shéng-Yā Pharmaceuticals may be familiar to you, as they're actually one of the groups mentioned in the game (while I do sadly own the game, I still had to look up who they were!).

With this chapter we've also come to the end of volume three. Volume four lasts up to chapter 38, at which point we'll have caught up to the Japanese releases. At present there are also about five or so uncollected chapters, so I imagine we'll see volume five some time in February or March assuming it doesn't go on hiatus again.

First up we've chapter 30 of Chainsaw. This was apparently a significant milestone for Mikamoto too, as it includes a (rather raunchy) colour spread on top of the usual horror and gore.

Volume 12 of this actually came out last week too, meaning we're now another volume behind. Initial reviews seem sort of mixed on it, for spoilery reasons which you could possibly guess anyway. Having flicked through some of it though it still made me laugh, so things haven't completely fallen apart just yet.
