Char to Amuro to Oi to: Yasuragi no Chihei e Vol. 1 [Redo]

It's been a quiet few weeks and to be honest I've not actually done much TL work on anything else, but here's a full batch of sorts for the Gundam stuff. There's a few TL changes, and I did some very quick, fairly shoddy redraws as well, but overall it's more or less the same as the individual releases, albeit marginally easier to DL.

I did at last take the opportunity to upload it all to MangaDex as well, though it's still more of a pain to upload things there than it should be. Hopefully I'll be able to get The Moon up as well fairly soon too, though I can't make any promises.

Char to Amuro to Oi to: Yasuragi no Chihei e Ch. 20-21.3 [End]

And that is that. Alongside the final chapter of the series proper there are two short stories following everyone's favourite mechanic, Astonaige, as well as an afterword.

I've spoken in the past about wanting to slot in more shorter works and this is the result of that. I don't imagine anyone out there is going to call it a masterpiece, but I think it's amusing enough for a probably sub 20 minute read, and for me as a TL it's nice to only be doing four pages of work a chapter, as opposed to say The Moon's 100+.

Thanks as ever go to my editor, Nady, and to das for the raws. If you'd like to buy the work it's available physically, and digitally. I would like to do some more Gundam series at some point (perhaps even something with an actual plot), but we'll have to see what takes my fancy.

Char to Amuro to Oi to: Yasuragi no Chihei e Ch. 15-20

Nearly done.

Biggest issue this time somehow ended up being trying to find an official quote for what Haro says in English; I'm far too used to just the Japanese.

Char to Amuro to Oi to: Yasuragi no Chihei e Ch. 9-11

A triple release today, as we cross the halfway point of the volume/series full stop.

Chapter 11's one of those ones which are clumsy to get into English. Having it as something like Red Comic probably would've been a better localisation, but I figure calligraphy shouldn't really be replaced, and it'd annoy my own sensibilities to "mislabel" kanji, so I opted for the far clunkier, bracketed solution. Oh well.

The quoted line this time doesn't quite fit when applied directly in English, but it should be close enough.

Char to Amuro to Oi to: Yasuragi no Chihei e Ch. 3 & The Moon Ch. 1.9

Two ultra short releases today.

Some more of old Char and Amuro.

And then an interview for The Moon which I've been holding back on doing for too long. It was included in one of the earlier reprints of the series (but not the digital version that I'm working from), though to be honest it's more a general interview about Akiyama himself than The Moon in particular (granted it does contain some minor spoilers).

Text wise it's the equivalent of like, 60 actual pages from the series, which is why it's taken so long despite me now releasing it as part of volume one.

Active Raid: Kidou Kyoushuushitsu Dai Hachigakari Ch. 3 & Char to Amuro to Oi to: Yasuragi no Chihei e Ch. 2

You'd be forgiven for thinking that this blog had turned into a fan site for The Moon these past few months, but here at last are a few (comparatively short) chapters of some other stuff I once released way back when.

First up, we've Active Raid. My editor had actually gotten this sorted years back, but I was ultra slow on getting to it. Maybe the next one will go faster.

And then there's some more of the gag Gundam series. As a test run I've given proper time stamps for any of the quotes taken from the actual anime series, though I'm not sure if I'll stick to it (it does after all look a bit cluttered).

Char to Amuro to Oi to: Yasuragi no Chihei e Ch. 1

MangaDex is still down but I've been oddly productive (for once).

Indeed here we've the first chapter of something new: a very short gag Gundam series which finished last year. It's ultra light but as a Gundam fan I've found it amusing enough, and it makes for something of a break between 60+ page chapters of other series.
