Survival Ch. 41

And here it is, chapter 41 of Survival. This completely benign chapter is actually quite significant as it marks the end of volume three, and along with it the halfway point of the series. This means we've done about 1,800 pages of Survival, with another 1,800 to go!

The good news is that for most of the remaining volumes the chapters are much shorter (there's about 70 remaining chapters despite the total page count working out the same), so it should mean quicker individual releases.

Kentou Ankokuden Cestvs Ch. XIII & Survival Ch. 40

I was browsing Reddit a little while ago when I saw a post rather amusingly bemoaning the lack of updates to Cestvs. Curious I checked up on Batoto/Manga Updates and sure enough, there's not been anything for the past sixth months.

It's a sort of disappointing situation given I'd initially dropped the manga under the assumption that it'd be getting regular updates but such is life I guess.

I don't really know whether I'll do anything more, but for now here's my version of chapter XIII. Even if  you've read the previous version there's a rather curious double reason for at least having a flick through it.

And so here's the last of the super long Survival chapters. From this point on all chapters till the end are about 40 pages max, which is much nicer to work on.

Survival Ch. 38

So here's the second of the stupidly long Survival chapters, in which we meet another two new faces.

This chapter's also quite funny in that it really feels like a Golgo chapter at times (especially the huge chunks of text about completely irrelevant matters).

On a related note I was talking to my editor and he said he felt the description of the foehn effect was quite confusing so I went back and reworded some of chapter 37. If you read this chapter it's explained again anyway though so it's not too big a deal.

Next up will probably be Yuzumori unless I just blitz the next 90 page Survival chapter instead.

So this took longer than it should've really. There's some parts I'll probably change if I ever get around to redoing it from tank scans, but that's something to worry about in the distant future.

I guess the silver lining of me being slow is that there's just under a week till the next chapter now, as it's due out on the 22nd. We'll see if I can get that one done any quicker.

Another day, another chapter which should've been out yesterday but was delayed due to Spanish net problems! Such is life I guess.

Chapter wise we're actually at the halfway point for the volume now (5/11), though in terms of page count we're still under a third (198/624). So yeah, a lot of long chapters coming up.

I've been working on Ogeha and Yuzumori in the meantime, so they'll be up next.

Chimamire Sukeban Chainsaw Ch. 24

It sort of slipped my mind initially, but one amusing little detail is that the kanji used in the names for each of Nero's remnants is related to the way they fight. So for instance Regan's name contains the kanji for eye, while Queen's (who's introduced this chapter) contains the kanji for eat.
