Had some free time today so, rather than do anything important, I decided I might as well waste my time finish off the Chainsaw volume.

As something of a bonus here's the first proper chapter of Yuzumori. My editor's had it cleaned since Monday but I was kinda slow on the TL.

It's actually a fair bit chunkier than the teaser chapters being 17 pages. We'll see I guess if Ejima keeps the page count up.

I have some vague recollection of Ejima talking at one point about how the series would cover the entirety of the pair's relationship, which would probably explain why the chapter's set prior to the teaser stuff. She's also mentioned how she'd like to keep it going for a while, but again, we'll see how things go. At any rate the next chapter will be out on the 11th of July.

With the Chainsaw volume done it's time I turned to a few other things for a while. Somali and Survival are both cleaned at the moment so you can probably expect them next, with Azarak to follow.

This will (I assume) be as far as the live action gets, as it's an obvious sort of end point. Still two chapters left for the volume though.

Survival Ch. 26

And here's chapter 26 of Survival.

There's some really nice double landscape spreads in this chapter. Saitou seemingly liked the sort of ruined city imagery and I think one can see why looking through.

In unrelated news the cover for the first volume of Getter was revealed the other day and it's pretty damn slick. The cover for Majonna, a collection of Mikamoto's one-shots was also put up and it's pretty cool too. There're both things I'll probably get around to buying at some point in the distantly vague future, though by no means are they a priority.

Next up should be Chainsaw. I'm slowly working on various other things (the Survival remake, Somali etc.) but they'll be a while yet.

So I actually made a slight mistake with the first release of this, turns out it wasn't listed as a proper chapter per se, but rather as a preview chapter of sorts. Today's release is also a similar little preview chapter, and it seems there'll be one more next week before the series starts properly on the 27th. Might actually mean things are longer than four pages at least. We shall see though.

I had also intended to finish Getter today but got sidetracked by being bored with E3, so will probably have it done tomorrow instead.

Survival Ch. 25

Going through my uploads of Orgia/Azarak yesterday I realised I had left few typos/grammar mistakes in (which is probably what I get for trying to finish them up at 12 at night). I updated my own download version of Orgia, and will get to updating in on Batoto/tidying up Azarak when I've a bit of time spare.

Eko Eko Azarak Ch. 3, Shoujo Kessen Orgia Ch. 3 & Yuzumori-san Ch. 0.1

So it's a triple release, of sorts today. I say of sorts as one of the chapters is only four pages, but a release is a release right?

First up then is chapter three of Azarak.

Reading this chapter part of me feels that Koga must've had some great hatred of Japanese schools. I mean you've a school where two kids die and two others are fairly badly assaulted in the space of a few days (not to mention the attempted sexual assault last chapter) and yet no one seems to bat an eyelid. Though I guess that's part and parcel with Azarak...

Next up we have chapter three of Orgia, wherein we continue with a bit of SoL, and the start of a new grim fight.

And lastly we have chapter one of something entirely new, Yuzumori-san, from the author of Orgia, Eri Ejima. Back when Ejima was finishing off Orgia she spent a while tweeting about how she'd endeavour to get a new serialisation and keep up with her cutesy little girl's love stuff, though if she couldn't she'd need to find a part time job or something.

A few months later and here we are with the opening chapter of Yuzumori-san, and a whopping four pages at that. The series is actually published online on Yawakara Spirits (most famous perhaps in the West for publishing Stretch).

As it's an online serialisation I'm not sure if Ejima will have quite managed to escape the necessity of a part time job, but it's at least something new from her. It also looks like it'll have fairly regular releases too, so even if it stays in small, four chapterish chunks it'll at least be a common thing.

And to round off the week here's chapter 24 of Survival.

I forgot to mention last time but the author of Chainsaw has a collection of his one-shots being published soon. I'd known for a while that he'd done at least one years ago in Young Magazine, so I'll likely look to get it scanned at some point.

The next chapters of Azarak and Orgia are both cleaned and just waiting for a TL, so they'll probably be up next.

I think this is a pretty clever chapter, certainly a nice twist on the usual horror setup. And of course we see the decisive battle draw ever closer.
